A Carnival Story

The carnival came to town the weekend of my hubby's birthday and I thought: PERFECT!  I haven't been to the carnival without strollers, kids and sippy-cups in tow since I was sixteen.  We met up with some good friends and had a blast...

Tickets stuffed in our pockets, ready for the ferris wheel!

Hitting up the climbing wall...

Am I really ready for the twisting, upside-down, spinning ride after our nice dinner on the town?  Well....I definitely had memories of that dinner.

My sweetie won a goldfish for our kids and my girlfriend and I scored some lightsabers for the boys at the balloon-dart game!  Couldn't wait to get home to give the kids our winnings!

The kids LOVED the lightsabers...

...AND the fish that was affectionately named "Shark-bait" (although my four-year-old nicknamed him "Anikan Skywalker").  EvaLee was fascinated...

It's with much sorrow we must say that "Shark-bait" went belly-up the next morning and all gathered for his funeral at the Cole Family Toilet.

The carnival for Bob's Birthday Celebration was great memories for all!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have to say the last photo is my favorite. "Fishy" as my girls used to say when they were that age-miss those days.

You're so welcome! I love it! I like the idea of a fish for a pet because it's so darn easy---now, to be able to keep them ALIVE!

Did you leave the water out to air several hours before you put the fish in it? Maybe that's why he went belly-up! Funny about gathering around the toilet for the funeral! Sounds like you had a great time at the carnival--glad you were able to get away!
